The premium cannabis variety Rucu Cucu OG originated from an exclusive collaboration between Seedstockers and the famous Argentinian rapper Homer el Mero Mero, an old friend of Seedstockers, who is hugely passionate about high-quality cannabis.
So, the Seedstockers team of professional breeders decided to create a unique variety, following the indications of taste and effect preferred by El Mero Mero. And the result took everyone by surprise!
After 5 generations of selection, Seedstockers found the perfect one - the pheno that became the legendary Rucu Cucu OG. This top-quality strain is made by crossing a special cutting from Tangie, selected for its intense tangerine smell and heavy production, together with an original USA OG Kush clone. The result is something unbelievable that surely won't go unnoticed if smoked on the street. You've been warned!
The intense mandarin smell is pungent, the taste is a mix between the sweet/citrus from the Tangie and the gassy/woody from the OG Kush. THC levels are incredibly high (grown properly, it can hit up to 30% THC).The effect is heavy, which is what our friend Homer el Mero Mero was aiming for after following the selection processes from start to finish. On a recent visit to Barcelona, he had the opportunity to try the final result after a long selection process and after only one puff said: “this is the fuc**ing Rucu Rucu OG!”
The plant is vigorous, robust and easy to grow, with only 8 weeks of flowering time needed. If grown indoors, Seedstockers recommend keeping a close eye on your girls during the 3rd and 4th week of flowering as it tends to stretch occasionally, especially if cultivated with sodium lamps. The plant reacts well to different growing methods such as SCROG (highly recommended), SOG, topping and FIM.
The smell from the Rucu Cucu OG can be pretty intense during flowering, so Seedstockers recommend using a good carbon filter to avoid your neighbours raising eyebrows! To best enjoy the strong smell and the incredible flavour, Seedstockers recommend growing in soil (organic if possible). Outdoor growing gives great satisfaction, as the plant grows incredibly well in different conditions and is resistant to mould and high temperatures. The yield is massive and it is ready around the last week of September or the first week of October (Northern Hemisphere).
